Part of what makes the Lake Baldwin Dental team so special is the true feeling of family we have for each other. And nothing makes us happier than sharing in each other’s joys and celebrating when that family grows! As some of you may know, Dr. Tran and hygienist Megan are expecting their first baby soon!
Megan joined the LBD team in 2014, while her now-husband Huy was still in dental school. They stuck it out through a long-distance relationship for several years, and while it took a lot of work (and many plane tickets!), they stayed together through his years of schooling in Chicago. After he graduated, Dr. Tran returned home to Orlando so he and Megan could start building their life together. And so he could start working here at the best dental practice in Orlando alongside his future wife!
Their engagement in Italy was something out of a storybook, and we were all overjoyed to join them at their wedding. We have all been so grateful to share in their joys as a couple and watch them grow in their careers and as people.
The team got together to throw a baby shower last week for the newest Tran, a sweet baby girl. Dr. Dunn, as always, made sure the team celebrated in style at Sixty Vines in Winter Park. The whole crew enjoyed each other’s company for hours, and of course showered the couple with gifts for their little bundle of joy.
While nobody ever feels totally ready for their first child, Megan and Huy have been looking forward to starting a family for several years, and they can’t wait to meet their baby. They were truly touched by everyone’s excitement on their behalf, too. “It was just so sweet seeing LBD come together as a family to celebrate our little blessing,” Megan said. “It really meant the world to us.”
However, the moment was bittersweet. The arrival of their first baby marks the end of Megan’s time as a hygienist on the LBD team. She has decided to step away and dedicate herself fully to raising their little girl. And as many of us can attest, it can be a full-time job!
While we are sad to say goodbye to Megan as a team member, she will always be part of the Lake Baldwin Dental family. And we fully expect to see that sweet baby dropping in to say hello!
